Abstract:

In this paper a model is presented for jointly optimizing the replenishment interval and retailer’s and consumer’s discounted prices for a perishable good, such that both wholesaler and retailer benefit from increased profits. An instrument of negotiation for distribution of system gains is incorporated into the model.
