A firm that manufactures and delivers a tangible product, logistics is both a fundamental business activity and the underlying phenomenon that drives most other business processes. It is difficult to imagine BPR without logistics. In this paper, a case study on reengineering the in‐plant logistics process in a Cement Manufacturing Plant (CMP) is presented. The finding of the study shows that BPR leads to improvement in the overall in‐plant logistics process. It may be noted that every company will have their own way of implementing BPR based on their unique situations however the basic framework will remain the same.
