Abstract:

We provide a complete characterization of all polytopes $P \subseteq {[0, 1]}^{n}$ equ1 with empty integer hulls, whose Gomory–Chvátal rank is $n$ equ2 (and, therefore, maximal). In particular, we show that the first Gomory–Chvátal closure of all these polytopes is identical.
