An approach for the problem of group decision making is described in this paper. Two different methodologies are used, A.H.P. (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and MDS (Multi-Dimensional Scaling). Using A.H.P. the decision problem is structured in a hierarchical form. Criteria to be considered are at higher levels, alternatives are at terminal nodes. Then each group’s member evaluates alternatives using the methodology A.H.P. Quantitative data as well as subjective judgements can be used. ‘Consensus’ methodology is applied in order to obtain the group’s evaluation. MDS is used in order to produce a graphical representation of spread of tendencies within the group.
