Abstract:

How is it possible to bias two equal dice in such a way that the maximum probability of the sum of the faces is as low as possible? To this question, asked firstly by Leo Moser, Aparo devoted very interesting papers, where he proved the inconsistency of some conjectures and proposed new approaches in order to obtain new solutions. Nowadays the problem is still open: it appears as a field interesting both from the theoretical point of view and from the computational one.
