Numerical computational formulae for the transient distribution of the number of customers in system in the infinite server queue with bulk Poisson arrivals are derived using generating function techniques. Equilibrium analysis follows as a special case. Various bulk size and service time distributions are considered, and numerical examples illustrate the use of the approach.
