The problem of determining a set of objects which satisfy the desires of a customer is very important in marketing. To resolve this problem, several attributes are introduced to characterize the different objects. An object is validated if the attribute’s values are greater than a set of target values introduced by the customer; however, finding the correct values is a complex problem. In this paper, a model is presented which validates objects. This uses trade-off information between customer and vendor. There are two versions of the model: determinsitic and stochastic.
