The first MS/OR course taken by an MBA student is critical in shaping the student’s view of the field. While a debate now rages over what course content should be, little is known about current course content. The author surveyed executive MBA programs to determine course titles, topics, use of computers, use of case studies, and course objectives, and found that current practice departs considerably from the recommendations of the TIMS education committee.
