Abstract:

Service quality has been a critical concern for most service industry firms. A real estate broker is one of service industry. Its responsibility in representing a buyer is to identify and present properties possessing qualities and characteristics sought by a buyer. There are so many different criteria that are highlighted consideration to a buyer due to its impact on the product. Some of these multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) attempt to have conflicting decision objectives. An evaluation model using TOPSIS (Technique of Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method is constructed to prioritize the real estate properties by a broker. It can be helpful to the real estate broker to locate multiple candidates whose attributes closely match those of client for the purpose of promoting a mutually agreeable match. This approach should increase the level of satisfaction among clients. A numerical example is also presented to illustrate the proposed model's working.
