Abstract:

Performance evaluation is one of the important processes needed in measuring the effectiveness of an organization. Classical performance evaluation systems are intended for determining the actual success of employees in a particular period and potential developments related to the future. The systems that are based on one-sided evaluation have lost their importance for twenty years, and have left their place to new methods which provide multi-participation and multi-sided evaluation via feedback. If multi-sided evaluation of performance is implemented correctly, it increases participation, confidence and pleasure among employees. Besides, it helps to improve institutional efficiency by enforcing the internal communication. 360 Degree Performance Evaluation System is one of the most conspicuous systems that includes receptive management mentality and it provides multi-sided evaluation of employees. In this study, a web-based 360 degree performance evaluation model is developed in order to increase institutional efficiency. The model for which an internet application is coded with ASP (Active Server Page) software language is used for performance evaluation in an organization. After implementation, a considerable amount of reduction in time and work loss has been achieved, and an increase in corporate efficiency is observed.
