The authors, through a large-scale training programme and by carrying out a variety of quality-related research projects, have had extensive involvement with the introduction and use of Statistical Processes Control (SPC) in Western European automotive suppliers. From these activities, the questions raised by organisations in their application and use of SPC have been noted and catalogued. This paper reports and examines the most frequent occurring questions.
