An environmental management method for enterprises in the processing industry

To support environmentally oriented business decision-making in enterprises, we will present a general optimisation model for a multiphase business process. This will be complemented by the possibilities of integrated environmental protection and improvement by using zero–one variables. To prepare environmental investment decisions, we constructed the linear mixed integer optimisation model as a fractional one. The method, based on simulations where optimisation models of environmentally oriented business processes are used as scenarios, links business optimisation with environmental considerations; it is presented with the real-life case of a small Slovene enterprise in the processing industry.
