Abstract:

A methodology for diagnosing the existing ecological situation in timber industry system, and the selecting of optimal decisions for managing of the same, due to economic and ecological criteria, is presented. Mathematical model, which is based on fuzzy logic, allows to determine the critical ecological parameters in timber industry companies, and by taking into consideration the existing situation, business objectives and demands of consumers it makes possible, by using fuzzy goal programming, to develop an optimal business strategy.
