Abstract:

With distributed lags, demand is a function of the price in both the current and earlier periods. The authors explore the convergence of the PIES algorithms for calculation of multiperiod equilibrium of supplies and demands when demand has a geometric distributed lag structure, and they discuss the influence of the lag parameter and time period aggregation on convergence.
