Abstract:

Internet revolutionized the way businesses compete in global markets. Global competition has evolved from individual company compete against individual firm to supply chain compete against supply chain. E-procurement (structured procurement) creates the easiest place for suppliers to do business automatically or with very little human intervention for each transaction with the public sector, 93 valid questionnaires were collected from procurement specialists in computer technology, semiconductors, telecommunication services and the textile industry in Taiwan. In this study, the factor analysis methodology is used to measure the benefits of e-procurement and to find the key success factors that affect the benefits. Results indicate that there are nine factors which influence the performance of e-procurement in the companies.
