Abstract:

In this paper the complex DNA sequence (of a dog) is analyzed and compared with the elementary DNA sequence of the Candida glabrata. It is shown that the moving averages of the indicator functions have a fundamental role in the characterization of DNA sequences. By focusing on the two letters alphabet it is shown the anticorrelation of purines versus pyrimidines, keto towards amino, etc. The low frequency oscillations are explicitly determined by using the short Haar wavelet transform.
