In consideration of the actual production process consisting of several stages, while the traditional DEA model can only been applied on those decision making units that have only one single stage, so the traditional DEA model has many limits in most appliance. Based on the traditional DEA models, this paper establishes the time-oriented DEA model. The time-oriented DEA model can evaluate the relative efficiency of the decision making units that have several stages in sense of the whole production process.
