This paper gives two formulas for normalizing the decision matrix in multi-attribute decision-making problems, which are used to deal with the interval numbers. It establishes the optimization model dealing with the weights of index. And it gives a method of possibility degree for deciding objective weights, which provides a simple and practical method for multi-attribute decision-making. At the same time the paper analyses its advantages as a widely used method compared with other methods. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.
