Management tool: Using spreadsheets for simulation models

Most managers do not have the technical skills to develop simulation models using traditional tools, but they can use electronic spreadsheets and are thus able to construct simulation models in this medium fairly simply. Several spreadsheet and modeling techniques are provided, including using an assumptions box, using specific spreadsheet functions, controlling recalculation, and making use of different simulation models. Two examples are included.
