A simplified technique for coding for manufacturing operation sequences for shop floor tracking is oriented principally toward PC-based systems which cannot accommodate detailed routing. The technique forms the basis for WIP tracking and associated subsystems including material movement, input/output monitoring, work-order aging, and load analysis.
