This study addresses the analytic models for estimating the capacity and performance of the multi-carrier CDMA system where several carriers would be assigned to a single cell to accommodate the required traffic demand. Two key features of the multi-carrier CDMA system, carrier selections of new calls and inter-carrier hard handoffs, are accommodated in the models. Computation experiments are conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed model.
