Abstract:

An inventory model is developed for determining the economic order quantity of an item taking into account the effects of varying marketing policies and conditions on the demand and allowing for the possibility of a random fraction of ordered items getting damaged. Some special cases are considered. The models are developed by correcting similar models given by Subramanyam and Kumaraswamy and Haullee and Meir J. Rosenblatt.
