New technology influences managers in the way thus obtain, analyse, and transmit information. Our experimental study showed that important changes occur in the areas of information used for decision making and associated ideas about the kinds of problems can be solved, the locus of decision making authority, and managerial job characteristics. Analysis of interviews and case examples are given.
