An M/G/1 retrial queueing system with two phases of service and feedback is considered. For an arbitrarily distributed retrial time distribution, the necessary and sufficient condition for the system stability is obtained, assuming that only the customer at the head of the orbit has priority access to the server. The steady-state distributions of the number of customers in the system and the orbit are obtained along with the average waiting times with method of VMP. The probability that the server is in idle when retrial and the probability that there is no one in the orbit are also derived. A general decomposition law for this retrial queuing system is established when the time server is considered to be in vacation.
