Method for multiple attribute decision making with attribute interval numbers and preference information on alternatives

With regard to the multiple attribute decision-making problem with attribute interval numbers and preference information on alternatives, an analysis method is proposed. In the method, firstly, the multiple attribute decision-making problem with intervals is introduced. Then, in order to reflect the preference information on alternatives given by decision makers, a goal programming model is constructed to obtain the attribute weights. Further, the overall values of every alternative are obtained and thus the alternative ranking results can be determined. Finally, an example is used to illustrate the proposed method.
