This paper presents a novel fuzzy linear programming method, with fuzzy variables, to solve the aggregate production planning problem in which the environment information is fuzzy. First, a specific fuzzy linear programming model for aggregate production planning is proposed. The model is decomposed into two-level multiobjective linear programming problems. A decision range can be obtained by a general linear programming method. Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the solution procedure. The fuzzy solutions provide more flexibility to the decision maker under uncertain environmental conditions. A decision maker can modify his or her production plan through the range of the results when the environmental data are vague.
