The elemental principles of ant colony algorithm are introduced in this paper, with a detailed analysis of its advantages and disadvantages. And an improved model of ant colony algorithm is proposed, based on the disadvantages of the ant colony algorithm that needs much more time when being used and whose speed of convergence is slower. But the new method can improve the speed on convergence efficiently.
