According to the theory of bulk arrival queues, the arrival process is modified and the supplementary variable method for an M[X]/G/1 queue under N control policy is used. The case when the arrival rate varies according to the server's status is considered. The distribution function of the steady-state queue length, the probability generating function of the departure point system size distribution, the Laplace transform of the waiting time in the queue at busy period, as well as the distribution of the idle period length and its expectation are determined.
