This paper discusses the methodology developed for computerised manpower planning of any hierarchical organisation. The methodology employed in the study promises to be useful in identifying the exact manpower planning needs encompassing induction, promotion and wastages, and has been illustrated by an actual application to be problem of the Indian Navy.
