Based on two reasonable assumptions, a new method is proposed for multiple attribute decision making with given preference information on alternatives. We give a simple algorithm for the method and prove it is equivalent to the method of additive weighting algorithm with special weighting. We propose some algorithms for different weighting selection and their applications.
