Abstract:

This paper discusses the construction and application of a suite of empirically derived, discrete simulation models, for a particular phase of the whole-life cycle of an equipment. These ‘micro-models’ can be used as a project management tool in their own right, or can provide parametric data suitable for incorporation into the whole-life ‘micro-model’.
