An application of a preference restraint cone Data Envelopment Analysis model in vendor selection

Based on the analysis of measuring criteria for vendor selection under the background of Supply Chain Management, a preference restraint cone Data Envelopment Analysis model is developed. Comparing with current methods, the model is more robust without demanding too much information, keeps characteristics of the conventional DEA model, and reflects preference of the decision-maker. A numerical example shows the effectiveness of such model used in vendor selection.
