The purpose of this work is to do a revision about the existing literature on information exchanges about demand in oligopoly models and the derivation of political consequences concerning to the effectivity and boundaries of these agreements. The main problem is to know, how these agreements can affect the producers, consumers and society in general. A first point of view can show us that several factors are involved: The type of competition (price versus quantities), nature of uncertainty (common versus private), nature of goods (substitutes versus complements) and number of firms.
