This article discusses bidding under risk. We survey the main methods developed in the 1990s for supporting bidding for construction projects. They are mainly the Analytic Hierarchy Process method, the Artificial Neural Networks method, the Expert System method, and the Case-Based Reasoning method. We also review briefly the main progress in the research of bidding decision strategies in China.
