The results of the implementation of a Fuzzy Logic Based Controller (FLC) for the position control of a flexible structure are presented in this paper. The flexible structure is a representative one from the Aerospace industry where they are abundantly employed. First an approximate model of the flexible structure is developed. An FLC developed using this approximate model is tested on the real life system. Experimentation carried out using the FLC confirms the theoretical results. The robustness of the controller against parametric variations is also demonstrated.
