Exergetic and inventory-theoretic aspects of energy storage

In this paper the authors consider economic policies for storing energy under different circumstances. The energy in question and its storage will be characterized by thermodynamic properties which are shown to have an influence on the derived economic consequences. This will give the present models some distinct features in comparison to traditional inventory models treating the storage of physical products.
