In this study, the following null hypotheses were tested using the Silver-Meal algorithm, Groff’s algorithm, and the Incremental Order Quantity technique. H1. There is no significant performance difference among the three lot-sizing techniques considered. H2. The cost structure ratio has no significant effect on the performance of the different lot-sizing techniques. H3. The coefficient of variation of the different demand patterns has no significant effect on the different lot-sizing techniques. H4. The length of the planning horizon has no significant effect on the performance of the different lot-sizing techniques.
