A production–inventory model with linear trend in demand and time-limited free back-orders

This article studies the definite way of production–inventory model with time-limited free back-orders by assuming linear trend in demand and finite replenishment rate, an efficient iterative procedure is proposed to provide the optimal production schedule with the help of a computer. Numerical examples are included to illustrate the proposed solution procedure. The results of these examples provide theoretical evidence for the inventory system to make management decision.
