A number of Korean manufacturers were surveyed to determine the production planning and control system being used. In general, the systems resemble those used by U.S. firms and typically employ some form of MRP software. Japanese just-in-time approaches are used to a lesser extent. A shift from high-volume repetitive manufacturing to job-lot manufacturing (Dapoomjong Soryang) is also discussed.
