A implicit utility technique (IUT) was described for multiobjective watershed planning. The optimization method is characterized by using BP network to substitute utility function, and Hopfield simulation procedure to solve nonlinear programming. The application of the method to a small watershed planning shows the effectiveness of multiobjective decision. Recommendations are made for the use of IUT.
