With the increases of complexity and cost of a project, project management becomes more and more important. Though the traditional methods based on PERT or CPM succeed in some fields, ignoring the resources restriction and exogeneous events, they cannot monitor the process of the project quickly. In this papeer, we propose a project management structure based on a timed Petri net (PN). The structure consists of several modules; among them the reference PN model illustrates the resource restrictions and a monitor PN model can watch in case of accidents. So the manager can know the situation of project clearly, and amend the planning and scheduling strategy as conditions change.
