The schedule model for a class of hybrid flowshop production for the objective of makespan was presented. To solve the problem of the hybrid production with the restriction of buffer capacity and production ability, the delay time, caused by the producing inter-mediums for the discrete products in the process production, was defined as the preparation time. A necessary and sufficient condition was presented, which determines whether the result in the assumption that the preparation time is zero is optimal or not, when the preparation time is not zero. And the error range was proposed when the original result is taken as the optimal result. The emulation of an actual example indicates that the mentioned algorithm is feasible.
