Abstract:

This paper uses the theory of systems (including integrality and pertinence), and analyzes material flow in multi-product and discrete production systems. To improve the whole production system, models of material flow cost are established. To decide the optimal order quantity and economic production batch size new algorithms are developed. A simplified algorithm is presented for the case of restrictions on capital in use and warehouse area. Through this algorithm, optimization of material flow in multi-product system can be resolved effectively.
