Abstract:

We set here the problem of introducing memory into global optimization processes involving the minimization of a convex function on some discrete subset of ℝn. In order to address this problem, we propose an analysis of the structure of the local optimality subsets induced by such a problem. We discuss potential interpretations of these results in the context of global optimization problems.
