In decision making, multiple model representations of linear optimisation models are gaining growing interest and importance. In information science, hypertext and scripting facilities, both of which expand the expressiveness of simple text and graphic documents, have also become an important issue. In previous work the author has developed a graphical tool for creating and solving linear programming models. In this paper, we present an environment that integrates this graphical tool, a textual representation of linear optimisation models and a hypertext system. Through a typical user session, it is also shown how users interact with the environment and how hypertext and scripting facilities can help users understand linear optimisation.
