This undergraduate award article examines the way in which manufacturing manufacturers have had to meet the challenge of stopping the decrease in the growth of American productivity, market share, and profits. Successful implementation of JIT and its requisite technologies can counteract the decline of American manufacturing with low cost/high quality products.
