A two unit system in series and parallel subject to individual and common-cause failures is studied. The life times and repair times of the units are exponentially distributed. If a unit fails individually the failure rate of the remaining unit changes. The repair is done by single repair facility whereas repair rate depends on the failure mode of the units. We derive availability, reliability and mean time between failures.
