Development of a technological S-curve for tire cord textiles

This article provides a detailed case example to show how to construct an S-curve. S-curves describe the relationship between the required R&D efforts and the improvement of a product or a process. Tire cord yarns for the conventional bias tires provide a subject for a detailed case study and illustrate the methodology required to construct S-curves.
