Discrete-time models with demand and supply in batches of a fixed size are considered as an example of randomly perturbed just-in-time systems. It is proved that such systems with or without emergency delivery in case of stock-out are unstable. That means that their asymptotic behaviour as perturbation diminishes depends on the way of diminishing.
