The paper aims to study and design a multiple criteria decision evaluation system, which is to be used in the evaluation of engineering product design. It describes the decision support system from its architecture, functional structure, work mechanism, and the way to implement. On the basis of information resources including data bases, knowledge bases, methods bases, etc., the system provides information processing tools such as knowledge processing tools, alternatives processing tools, and multiple criteria evaluation tools, to evaluate the definite designs according to multiple criteria decision framework. The result will provide rational and scientific information for decision-makers.
